Health Screening Assessments

What it involves:

  • One or more nurses visit your site & set up a range of Health promotion activities including measuring equipment for Blood Pressure, carbon monoxide levels (for smokers), body fat%, cholesterol, diabetes check.
  • We bring models to help explain heart & lung disease, breast & testicular examination to employees.
  • We also bring displays, free booklets, leaflets & posters about healthy food & common conditions such as back pain, heart disease & cancer etc.   Screening will focus on giving advice about potential outcomes, choices & how to obtain more support.

The screening can be carried out in:

  • An open ‘drop in’ room or corner of your canteen (which we have found tends to be very popular & well subscribed)
  • Individual appointments in a private room (which is also popular & provides privacy)
  • An open ‘drop in’ area but providing employees with identified problems a confidential appointment on another date or with a second nurse on the same day.

Employees often have ‘small’ problems’ that may be identified at screening.  Early detection, advice and treatment can then improve prognosis and reduce the impact on your employee and your company.

The initiatives tend to be popular and morale boosting to your employees.
